The Everlasting Kingdom

By Blake Higginbotham

For some time now I have been meditating a number of specific questions. I have been asking; where do we go from here, and how do we get there? In other words, I want to know how to proceed in a way that will not represent another feeble attempt in continuing and finishing strong. It is my heart to only do what I see my Father doing, and only say what I hear Him saying. The following revelatory statements represent my present Kingdom understanding and my soft conclusions speak of what I am currently seeing and hearing right now. They very well may be something that will challenge your current paradigms and they could prove to be a game changer as it pertains to the pre-determined outcome.

Note: It is not my desire to overthrow everything that we hold dear and true; but it is what I have been given and therefore something that represents my measure and part.

I have come to understand that it has always been about the Spirit and the Kingdom. Yahweh is a Spirit and the Kingdom has always been His heart. From the beginning of creation until now the Kingdom is come and His will is being done in earth as it is in Heaven. His Kingdom is being advanced by His Spirit, and increased by divine providence.

The covenant seed and true sons of the Kingdom represent Yahweh throughout the earth and are advancing His Kingdom from generation to generation. I think we can all agree that the story of creation and the Garden of Eden, both speak of Yahweh’s original intent concerning the establishment of His Kingdom. He created man in His image, after His likeness created He him. He put His man in His garden, and gave Him Dominion over His earth.

 Ref. (Genesis 1:26-28)- (Genesis 2:7-25)

Psalms 145:3-13 Great is Yahweh, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable. 4One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts. 5I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, and on Your wondrous works. 6Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, and I will declare Your greatness.7They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness, and shall sing of Your righteousness.8Yahweh is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. 9Yahweh is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works.10All Your works shall praise You, O Yahweh, and Your saints shall bless You.11They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, and talk of Your power, 12To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of His kingdom. 13Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion endures throughout all generations.

Now, for those of you who reject the validity of the older covenant of the bible as being obsolete or past history, I want to remind you that the term ‘Everlasting Kingdom’ is only mentioned four times in the scripture and three of them found in the older covenant of the bible. That said I want you to look at the tense of the previous passage of scripture. It is speaking out of eternity. It is not talking about a time past or some point in the future; it is definitively speaking of a present tense reality that must be considered and embraced today!

I have come to see the scripture as one book that represents a record of Yahweh’s dealings with mankind and His people from the beginning of creation until now. We must not forget that we did not always have a book and the writings and text that were available did not have all of the chapter and verse divisions prior to publication. The Holy Scripture, The Bible and The Word are the Law of Yahweh’s will and purpose for all mankind throughout every generation. If I were you, I would not be too quick to rule anything out, or take a contrary position on anything, especially the things that are obviously righteous and true. His Word is Eternal, His Kingdom is Everlasting, and we need to consider that we may have put our own twist and limitations on both of them.

Daniel 7:13-14 & 27 “I was watching in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of Man, Coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. 14Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed.

27Then the kingdom and dominion, And the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, Shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him.’

I challenge you to read all of these passages of scripture in context, and prayerfully consider the ramifications of what I am saying. When we take away the time and space constraints of the past, present and future, our view of the Kingdom will be inexorably changed forever, and we will begin to see and understand that all we have is the Eternal NOW! For us, there is no past or future, and in order to see and enter the Kingdom of Yahweh, we have to receive it NOW!

Some of you are probably saying; this being true, is it not possible that we have been sold a bill of goods concerning a great many things. The answer to your question is, YES! My question to all of us is, how did the twisted and skewed understanding of those that have gone before us, prevent us for praying in the Spirit and searching out His heart for ourselves? It will not do any good to rail against the darkness now.  Blaming others will not benefit us now. We are without excuse and ignorance is a lack of enlightenment.

We must become lovers of the truth, and search it out for ourselves. If we know who we are in Him and become comfortable in your own skin, then we are well on our way to discoveries that will change our landscapes and worlds. It is never too late to change and lay hold of our destiny and His greater Kingdom purpose.

The good news is, we do not have to wait to die to go to Heaven, and we are not waiting on Him to come again in order to establish His Kingdom. The Kingdom of Heaven is already come to planet earth, and has been manifestly visible for over two thousand years. We are not trying to live long enough to see and enter His Kingdom, and we do not have to worry about tomorrow or fret over what is going to happen next. When the future arrives it will or will not be our NOW! Until then, we must OCCUPY until we come to a better understanding of what it means to be truly Kingdom.

When we view the Kingdom through the eyes of eternity, we will see all that His has in store for us then! Seeing and entering the Kingdom now requires a more responsible approach to how we live and relate. It requires us to accept responsibility for the outcome and end result.

2 Peter 1:2-11 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of Yahweh and of Yahshua our Sovereign, 3as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 8For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Sovereign Yahshua Messiah. 9For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. 10Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; 11for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Sovereign and Savior Yahshua Messiah.
