Last evening, as I was driving home from town, I heard and saw something that I know to be the voice of the Spirit and a brief glimpse of where we are going in this generation. I was not thinking about anything in particular and I was enjoying the ride home when I heard, “This is a critical moment in the history of this generation.”
As I pondered the above statement, He began to speak to me about how this nation, at this time, is in the same predicament that Rome and other nations found themselves during the life and times of Yahshua the Messiah. When I say life and times of Yahshua the Messiah, I am not suggesting that He is no longer with us. I am using it as a point of reference to refer to the moment of His appearing on the scene and I humbly offer the following revelation.
He was born of a virgin, raised by a young Jewish couple, and grew up in a Jewish home, living according to the Jewish customs of that time. Only a handful of people gave witness to His birth; but yet they knew that a KING had been born. However, they were not the only people who knew that a KING had been born. Some of the religious leaders, as well as Herod, believed that a child was born, who would be KING. Upon hearing about the birth of the this new KING, Herod, put forth a decree to kill all of the first-born sons of every household in Bethlehem, two years old and younger; but little did he know that angel of Yahweh had already appeared to and spoken with young Joseph about taking his wife out of the city and flee to Egypt. Their ability to hear and obey the Messenger sent to them was what saved and preserved the life of Yahshua the Messiah, our Sovereign Savior. Yahshua was born during the fall feast, around the time of the feast of tabernacles, in an obscure and undisclosed location; but still others were captivated and drawn to the light, signifying His birth. He was raised in a Jewish home and according to the customs; but was not known by many in the early years of His life. Some knew him as Joseph’s son and others knew him as brother and friend. To be honest with you, not much is written or known about His early childhood or His life as a young man. When He was just a young person, while in Jerusalem for the feast, He was found in the temple discussing the meaning of scriptures and speaking of the coming Kingdom. It wasn’t until He was about 30 years of age that he was baptized in water and began to be known in the land as Yahshua of Nazareth. He came on the scene in a very dark time, and His short-lived-life and ministry changed the course of history. Rome was already in a state of decline, and its days were numbered as a civilization. Yahshua went forth preaching, repent and believe the gospel, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. He went forth throughout the land saying, I am the light of the world. “Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of Yahweh; and those who hear will live.
For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man. Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation. I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me. “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.”
What I saw about this time is we are like ‘Fireflies’ (Lightning Bugs) in a very dark forest. One lightning bug may get your attention and somewhat stir your curiosity; but what do you think would happen if thousands, tens of thousands, and even hundreds of thousands of lightning bugs began to come together in the center of the forest? Do you think that might attract some attention that would immediately get noticed by the government, military/industrial complex, news media and the world? I think so. If for no other reason, they would be drawn into the dark forest out of curiosity, amazement and sense of wonder. I want to encourage you by saying that you and I are not the only fireflies in the forest. There are untold millions of fireflies deep within the dark forest in all parts of the earth. We are entering into a time when we will begin to seek out one another and that in order to add our light to each other and our surroundings. The candle power of our illumination will exponentially grow in intensity overnight. The radiant glow of the Light and Glory of Yahweh will be simultaneously seen around the world at the same time. It is not time to be discouraged, or allow your light to go out. It is time to seek out and find one another in Him. Stop what you are doing for a minute and look around you. Can you see me? Can you see them? Can you see us? We have been looking for you and one another for a very long time. Take courage my friend. We are here for you!
What all this means is we are going to have to be willing to lay down our lives for one another. Just like Yahshua came to seek and to save that which was lost, we are going to have to be willing to represent Him to a lost and dying world. Right here, right now, in the middle of a very dark forest, we must be willing to come together for His greater Kingdom purpose. If we allow ourselves the luxury of going it alone in the world, our lives and the lives of our loved ones could be forfeited.
Remember, “This is a critical moment in the history of this generation.” and we have an awesome responsibility to make a lasting difference in our lifetimes. Just like Yahshua changed the course of history, we have that same opportunity today to come together in Him, so that others will be draw into His light in us. I don’t know about you; but I am looking forward to seeing the light and reaching for Him in others, and I long to for the day when other will see the light and reach for Him in me.
Knowing what I know to be true about this time, we very well may have to pay the ultimate price in order to save the generation from themselves. I am not talking figuratively, or metaphorically. I am talking literally. Pray for me as I pray for you. Pray for us as we pray for others.
Yahweh so loved the world that He gave His only begotten SON. Yahshua so loved the WILL of the Father that He gave up the right to live. We must love Yahshua and others so much that we are willing to count it all loss for the Excellency of the knowledge of Yahshua the Messiah. For me to LIVE is Messiah; but to DIE is gain.
But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Messiah. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Messiah Yahshua my Sovereign, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Messiah and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Messiah, the righteousness which is from Yahweh by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Messiah will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Messiah, and to die is gain. But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell.
